I find it quite amusing seeing all these little alliances claiming that they in some way 'beat' IT... they smashed on the doors for months, and IT gave barely any ground at all - hardly even bothered with CTAs.
Long after the assault started IT member corps decided, with some minor disagreement but largely with mutual consent, that there are far more interesting things to do in Eve.
Another moral victory for IT, who care more for enjoyment and staying true to the 'spirit' of PVP than for the tedium of blob warfare.
Eve threw everything it had at IT, and it barely wobbled. Grats to the incredible pilots of IT for controlling the game again, and starting a new chapter.

Save themselves???? What kind of drivel are you talking? Let's look at the facts.
- IT faced alliances that had about 12 to 15 times their number of players and held their space with impressive ease. They lost only one significant system.
- When a small number of member corps did decided to leave it was announced with composure and style.
I actually think what BoB / IT have done is phenomenal - they decided to bow out at their peak, with dignity.
